While not as renowned as other tournaments, it garners several teams. Despite the competition, ample opportunities exist to win prizes across categories. Last year, participants were well-prepared to compete in both billfish and gamefish divisions, vying for a share of cash and prizes exceeding $480,000.

  • The Bisbee’s East Cape Off-Shore in August is part of Bisbee's trio of yearly fishing tournaments in Baja California Sur. Introduced in 2000, it's renowned for its laid-back atmosphere. Teams must pay a $1,500 entry fee to participate, with additional fees for daily jackpots and challenges. Prizes await teams that catch the most billfish (black, blue, and striped marlin), tuna, and dorado.

  • The Los Cabos Billfish Tournament occurring in October, marks the unofficial start of the Los Cabos Marlin fishing season, stirring excitement year-round. As the first major tournament of the month, it offers anglers a prime opportunity to showcase their skills and gear up for the prestigious Black & Blue competition. For those seeking a high-stakes event to challenge their abilities, this tournament stands as an excellent choice.

  • The Bisbee’s Los Cabos Off-Shore in October, known as the "Little Bisbee's," was established in 2002, preceding the Black & Blue competition. It's a thrilling event encompassing diverse gamefish like Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, and Striped Marlin (released back into the ocean), along with Black and Blue Marlins. Participants can compete in single or multiple categories, adding to the excitement of the tournament.

Spanning five days, it brims with fishing, festivities, anticipation, and sheer excitement. The marina pulses with activity, drawing enthusiasts worldwide to witness the colossal Marlin being weighed in. With nearly 200 boats yearly, the tournament levels the playing field for all, offering equal chances for victory. The rewards are staggering! In 2006, the Black & Blue set a record-breaking prize pool of $4,165,960, the largest single fish payout in sportfishing history.
