Fishing Calendar

Fishing San Jose del Cabo in January:

If you are planning on visiting San Jose del Cabo during the winter, you will be able to choose from a variety of sport fishing options. January is a great month for pelagic fishing, since it is full of fish such as: Striped Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo and Mahi-Mahi. It's an awesome month for Striped Marlin fishing, as well as Costal fishing for Rooster Fish, Jack Crevalle, Spanish Mackerel, African Pompano and more. San Jose Del Cabo fishing is great this time of year because the water is calm, there are no winds, and the weather is mild. The Humpback Whale and Gray Whale are also in their breeding cycle during this month.

Fishing San Jose del Cabo in February:

Besides excellent Striped Marlin, Wahoo and Mahi fishing, February introduces some bottom fishing, such as Snapper, Grouper, and Bonito, as with Yellowfin Tuna fishing continues to be accurate. February is a great time to fish in San Jose del Cabo, thanks to a wide variety of fish, and consistent good fishing for Striped Marlin. The coastal fishing is still going well, especially with the Rooster fish. A good month to watch whales is during this month, when legions of Humpbacks and Gray Whales are here.

Fishing San Jose del Cabo in March:

We see the bottom fishing in San Jose del Cabo warming up; March is a good time for bottom fish such as Snapper, Grouper, Bonito and Rainbow runners. We still have a lot of Wahoo, Mahi, Yellowfin tuna, etc...likewise Striped Marlin fishing is excellent. Rooster fish are still at the top of the list of coastal fishing in March, due to the warmer weather.

Deep below the surface fishing is excellent, with huge Amberjacks, Snappers and Groupers. There's still a lot of pelagic fishing going on with Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna and Striped Marlin. In April, expect an amaizing coastal fishing as the big Rooster fish season begins and the "big boys" start biting again. Humpback and Gray whales travel North with new born calves, whale watching is still possible until the end of the month.

Fishing San Jose del Cabo in May:

A major transition occurs in May: the winds turn from predominantly Northern to predominantly Southern, which signals the start of the Black and Blue Marlin season for Pelagic fishing, and especially the start of the World class size Rooster fishing season here in San Jose del Cabo. You should keep in mind that we're the best specialists around for this amazing and legendary fish.
