Fishing Cabo in January:

If you're planning a visit to Cabo in the winter, you'll have a wide range of sport fishing options to choose from. In January, you can enjoy blue water fishing, with plentiful catches such as Striped Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, and Mahi-Mahi. This month is particularly excellent for Striped Marlin fishing, as well as shores fishing for species such as Rooster Fish, Jack Crevalle, Spanish Mackerel, African Pompano, and more. The waters off San Jose Del Cabo are especially favorable this time of year, with calm seas, mild weather, and little wind. It's also the breeding season for Humpback Whales and Gray Whales, which make for a breathtaking sight.

Fishing Cabo in February:

In February, Cabo offers more than just great Striped Marlin, Wahoo, and Mahi fishing - bottom fishing enthusiasts can also enjoy Snapper, Grouper, and Bonito. Additionally, Yellowfin Tuna fishing remains fruitful. With such a diverse range of fish available, February is an excellent time to go fishing in Cabo. The Striped Marlin fishing remains consistently good, and coastal fishing, particularly for Rooster fish, continues to thrive. The month also offers a prime opportunity to observe whales, with large numbers of Humpbacks and Gray Whales present in the area.

Fishing Cabo in March:

As the weather warms up in Cabo, bottom fishing in March becomes increasingly fruitful, with opportunities to catch Snapper, Grouper, Bonito, and Rainbow runners. The month also sees a continuation of other popular catches such as Wahoo, Mahi, and Yellowfin Tuna, as well as excellent Striped Marlin fishing. For those interested in shores fishing, Rooster fish remain a top catch in March, thanks to the warmer weather conditions.

Fishing Cabo in April:

As April transitions into May, the waters of Cabo remain stable, providing ample opportunities for fishing enthusiasts. Deep fishing is especially rewarding during this period, with large catches of Amberjacks, Snappers, and Groupers. Mid-Shore fishing for species such as Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, and Striped Marlin also continues to thrive. Additionally, the month marks the start of an amazing shores fishing season for big Rooster fish, with the "big boys" starting to bite again. While Humpback and Gray whales begin their journey north with newborn calves, it's still possible to enjoy whale watching until the end of the month.

Fishing Cabo in May:

May marks a significant shift in Cabo's fishing scene, as the winds shift from predominantly Northern to predominantly Southern. This change signals the beginning of the Black and Blue Marlin season for Offshore fishing, as well as the highly anticipated start of the World-class size Rooster fishing season. Rest assured that we are the best specialists when it comes to capturing this extraordinary and legendary fish.

Fishing Cabo in June:

Fishing in Cabo during the middle of the year offers an exceptional experience, thanks to the diverse range of fish in the waters. Mid-shore fishing during this period sees an increase in Mahi and Wahoo, as well as a good number of Marlin. Additionally, it's common to catch many Roosters during this time. In the mornings, it's not uncommon to battle with a Rooster fish weighing over 50 pounds, providing an exciting and thrilling experience for fishing enthusiasts. Don't miss the opportunity to chase after a giant "Roosta" with our team!

Fishing Cabo in July:

Summer is an exciting time for shores fishing in San Jose del Cabo, as Giant Roosters weighing over 50 pounds are abundant. Battling with colossal Roosters weighing between 70 to 90 pounds is a common occurrence. Additionally, Blue and Black Marlin fishing is at its peak during this time, adding to the excitement. Mahi and Yellowfin Tuna are among the most popular fish in Cabo, making July a great month to target these species. Overall, fishing in Cabo is at its pinnacle during the summer months.

Fishing Cabo in August:

August is a fantastic time for Marlin fishing in Cabo, with a good number of Black and Blue Marlin, as well as some Striped Marlin in the blue waters, providing an excellent opportunity to witness these fish in action. As August approaches, the Coastal Fishing tends to calm down, as the Giant Roosters have already spawned and returned to deep waters. Therefore, we recommend targeting Pelagic fishing during this month, with Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Yellowfin Tuna, and Wahoo being popular targets in Cabo.

Fishing Cabo in September:

At the end of summer in Cabo, there's a lot of Marlin activity, and September is no exception. Black and Blue Marlin are common during this month, making it a great time for Marlin fishing. Yellowfin Tuna numbers also tend to increase in September, providing even more options for anglers. Mahi and Wahoo continue to be popular choices as well. With so many great fish to target, September is an excellent month for fishing in Cabo.

October is an exciting time in Cabo as it's tournament season for Black and Blue Marlin, as well as big Yellowfin Tuna. This is a popular time for Marlin and Tuna enthusiasts to visit and participate in the competitions. At Exotic Fish Cabo, Marlin and Tuna fishing is our specialty. Our skilled captain can assist in customizing your trip and ensuring a successful fishing experience. With the abundance of these trophy fish during this time, October is an excellent month to visit Cabo and test your angling skills.

Fishing  Cabo in November:

It sounds like November is a great time for fishing in Cabo! The waters are calm and the wind is mild, making it easier to fish for Striped Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, and Mahi-mahi. Additionally, it's a good time for whale watching as Humpbacks and Gray Whales migrate to the Sea of Cortes to reproduce.
